Book on the history of Phanagoria published in Germany

The University of Gottingen (Germany) has published a book on Phanagoria, entitled Phanagoria, Cimmerian Bosporus, Pontos Euxeinos.
This is the first volume of the “Ancient Phanagoria” series, which the university will be publishing in partnership with Oleg Deripaska’s Volnoe Delo Foundation.
This 300-page illustrated volume consists of 12 scholarly articles dealing with the history of Phanagoria and other cities of the Bosporan Kingdom, the culture, economy, architecture, trades, religion and numismatics of the ancient Black Sea region.
The University of Gottingen is one of the leading international research centers in the field of ancient history. It is a long standing partner of the Russian Academy of Sciences Institute of Archaeology and the “Historical and Cultural Heritage of Kuban” Nonprofit Partnership.
