The first stage of the "Computers for Schools" programme, which is being carried out by Oleg Deripaska’s Volnoe Delo Foundation, has been launched successfully in the Kholmogory District, Arkhangelsk Region. Four schools in the district – Yemetskaya, Lomonosovskaya, Kholmogorskaya and Lukovetskaya – have joined the Project.

Experienced specialists from the Arkhangelsk Regional Institute for Advanced Teacher Training, started to work with the local teachers on August 16.

Preparations are under way to install 555 netbooks with the Microsoft Student Innovation Suite (MSIS) so that teachers and schoolchildren in primary classes at these schools are able to start working with innovatory teaching methods as early as September.
