Oleg Deripaska awarded with the State Decoration "For Beneficence"

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Decree No. 320, which awards Oleg Deripaska with the state decoration "For Beneficence" for great contributions to charitable and public activities. The Decree was published on the official website of the President on July 4, 2016.
The Decoration "For Beneficence" is awarded for significant charity efforts including contributions to the development of Russian science, culture, education or healthcare.
In 2014, Oleg Deripaska received Philanthropist of the Year award in recognition of his efforts to support rich historical and cultural heritage of Kuban. He has been among the top Russian givers according to Bloomberg since 2013. Deripaska was put on Forbes ranking of Russia’s largest philanthropists in 2013.
Volnoe Delo charity, founded by Oleg Deripaska in 1998, is among top-10 charity foundations according to Rossiya Segodnya state news agency. It is also one of eight largest privately-held charities in Russia according to Ogonyok magazine. Forbes named Volnoe Delo one of 12 largest Russian charity foundations in 2016. Since its creation, Volnoe Delo has supported more than 500 charity programs in 50 regions of Russia, worth 10.6 bln rubles.
All of the companies that are part of Oleg Deripaska’s Basic Element Group (including En+ Group, RUSAL, GAZ Group, Basel Aero, Kuban Agro holding etc.) implement complex corporate social responsibility programs, aimed at environmental protection, development of education and culture in the regions of their operation. Annual investment to corporate social responsibility programs of Basic Element’s businesses reaches about 2 bln rubles.
