Volnoe Delo Foundation and MSU launch a website offering professional advice to doctors

Volnoe Delo Foundation and the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine at Lomonosov Moscow State University launched a website with resources on the treatment of respiratory diseases and ventilator use. The project will help practitioners learn best practices in the treatment of viral pneumonia and receive individual advice from Russia’s leading specialists.
The online project includes a series of video lectures in which Sergey Tsarenko, one of Russia’s most highly qualified intensivists, gives recommendations on how to care for respiratory patients and how to use a ventilator. He talks about the principles of respiratory support, examines the strategies of treating pneumonia with antibiotics and shares tips on how to organise a hospital's workflow to protect staff from infection.The interactive platform also allows practitioners to receive recommendations on how to treat pneumonia, as well as consultations on CT scans and advice on how to use a ventilator. Consultations are conducted under the guidance of Sergey Tsarenko and led by highly qualified specialists and researchers from the faculty of fundamental medicine at Lomonsov Moscow State University.

Earlier, the Volnoe Delo Foundation launched a series of videos "What you need to know about COVID-19", where doctors, virologists, biotechnicians and other specialists talk about the causes of the new coronavirus, the forecast of its spread and guidance on how to prevent infection.
An outbreak of a new coronavirus infection was first reported in China in December 2019 and has since spread to 160 countries. In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) recognised the outbreak as a pandemic. The Volnoe Delo Foundation and Lomonosov Moscow State University urges everyone to take precautionary measures and trust only credible sources of information.
