
The results of the 2011 grant competition for strategic areas of science and high-tech

A joint commission of experts from the Russian Science Support Foundation (FSON) and Oleg Deripaska’s Volnoe Delo Foundation are proud to announce the winners of the 2011 grant competition for strategic areas of science and high technology.
In 2011 over 280 projects were entered into the competition. The selection prosess was made up of two stages: at the first stage the committee decided on a shortlist of 28 projects, and at the second stage a shortlist of 10 projects were selected. These ten are named the winners of this year’s competition: six fundamental research and pioneering area projects (selected by the experts from FSON) and 4 applied and engineering projects (selected by the Volnoe Delo Foudation panel). Each winner will receive a 500 000 ruble grant.
