On January 23, 2011 the Moscow State University Fundamental Library will play host to the award ceremony of the grant contest for talented students, graduate students and young scientists from Moscow State.
The 2011 contest will be the 5th time it has been held. This year some two hundred projects by students and young scientists from Moscow State University were entered in the grant competition. Assessment of the projects was carried out by an independent jury composed of leading Russian and foreign scientists.
In the end 73 entries were named as winning projects, the majority of which were presented by Moscow State graduates and undergraduate students (both by individual researchers and research teams). Overall, 91 researchers working in the fields of astronomy, biology, mathematics, physics, chemistry and earth sciences will be receiving grants that will allow them to further their work.
