The Volnoe Delo Foundation has announced the findings from the latest excavation season by the Phanagoria Archaeological Expedition. Continuing their research of the ancient synagogue unearthed last year, the archaeologists concluded it was part of a larger Jewish quarter, which included a winery, garden, residential houses, and public buildings.

Volnoe Delo Foundation and the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine at Lomonosov Moscow State University launched a website with resources on the treatment of respiratory diseases and ventilator use. The project will help practitioners learn best practices in the treatment of viral pneumonia and receive individual advice from Russia’s leading specialists.

Volnoe Delo Foundation will create a war memorial in the Austrian town of Laa an der Thaya to commemorate Soviet soldiers who died fighting fascism in Austria. The foundation is inviting families of the deceased to join the ground-breaking ceremony on 22 June 2020.

The Volnoe Delo Foundation and the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) summarise the findings of the 16th field season of the Phanagorian archaeological expedition. The most interesting finds of 2019 include fragments of a font and a tabletop from a Christian basilica and family graves dating back to the 2nd and 5th centuries AD. More than 250 people took part in the expedition and about four thousand tourists participated in guided tours of the Phanagoria Museum-Preserve.

Volnoe Delo, a foundation supporting social innovation, has opened dog shelters in Naro-Fominsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk and Abakan. These well-equipped shelters include veterinary hospitals and employ professional handlers and animal experts.

Oleg Deripaska Volnoe Delo Foundation and the Russian Academy of Sciences' Institute of Archaeology have discovered fragments of a marble stele carrying an inscription of the ancient Persian King Darius I. Found in the antique town of Phanagoria, in the Krasnodar region of Southern Russia, the stele is assessed to date back to the first half of the 5th century B.C. Archeologists doing excavations in the area say the find has good chances of becoming a world sensation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Decree No. 320, which awards Oleg Deripaska with the state decoration "For Beneficence" for great contributions to charitable and public activities. The Decree was published on the official website of the President on July 4, 2016.
