Since 1998 the Foundation has been realizing complex programs in the field of charity to change the quality of life in Russian regions where business interests of Basic Element Group are presented. The main directions of social activities are the programs in the field of science, education, preservation of historical and cultural heritage.

Educational programs and projects are the core of all the activities of the Foundation. They promote modernisation of Russian schools and improve quality, relevance and accessibility to Russian education. Preserving and developing Russian scientific and technical potential, Volnoe Delo supports activities on international experience exchange and work of young scientific staff.

The Foundation pays great attention to Russian theatres and museums, theater schools and supports creative groups of young artists and authors.

Within the framework on development of territories the Foundation implements programs on restoration objects of historical and cultural heritage, built schools, gymnasiums, orphanages and sports facilities.

All the programmes of the Foundation are systemic and aimed to solve social issues and offer innovative decisions to improve quality of life.
