PovoDOG became the first shelter for dogs in need in Sochi. Now there are over 200 pets who have been picked up on the streets of Sochi by the shelter’s volunteers. Homeless and abandoned dogs are provided with food and medical treatment in the sanctuary.

The shelter features all the necessary conditions for treating and curing animals: spacious dog-houses, food and vaccines. All the newcomers are thoroughly examined and cured.

Together with Washington DC based Humane Society International (HSI) and one of the U.S. top animal rescue organizations, Washington Animal Rescue League (WARL), PovoDOG has started to dispatch its dogs to the United States, following hundreds of adoption requests from U.S. citizens. The first 10 dogs arrived in Washington D.C. in March.
