Culture
The Foundation’s cultural programme is guided by the national "Culture of Russia (2012-2018)" programme. The programme's aim is to preserve and promote the cultural diversity of the Russian people, as well as to represent national culture abroad.
Through its programmes, the Foundation aims to preserve and promote the rich historical and cultural heritage of Kuban. The Foundation finances archaeological excavations in the ancient city of Phanagoria, contributes to the study of the traditions of Cossack culture, and provides long-term support to the Kuban Cossack Choir. The Foundation is also working with a number of theaters and museums of national importance, sponsoring their tours in Russian regions and abroad. The Foundation is also a partner of numerous competitions and festivals of music and art, etc.
The main aims of the Foundation’s cultural programme are:
- The development of creative potential, enabling people from all social classes to appreciate the value of national and world culture
- The preservation of cultural values and traditions for the people of Russia
- Maintaining the prestige of Russian culture abroad and the expansion of international cultural cooperation
The beneficiaries of the Foundation include:
- MHAT Studio-School
- The ancient city of Phanagoria through archaeological excavations (implemented by the Institute of Archaeology RAS)
- The State Academic Kuban Cossack Choir
- The "New Russia" State Symphony Orchestra and the "Solists of Moscow" Yuri Bashmet Chamber Orchestra
- The International Yuri Bashmet Competition of viola-players
- The "Russian Performing Art" foundation
- The Moscow Youth Chamber Orchestra
- The Moscow State Academy of Choreography and the Musical Educational Theatre
- The State Academic Bolshoi Theatre
- The State Academic Mariinsky Theatre
- The State Hermitage Museum
