Folk filmfes "Land of the Fathers – my land!"
The Foundation takes part in the organization of "Land of the Fathers – my land!" a folk film festival, which has been held annually since 2006 in Ust-Labinsk. Among other organizers are the Administration of the Municipality of Ust-Labinsk district, the Administration of Ust-Labinsk settlement, the Union of Cinematographers of Russia and the Directorate of Cultural Programs "The Centre of Festivals".
The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Krasnodar Territory Administration, the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnodar Territory, as well as "Basic Element" companies and enterprises providing support to the festival.
The main purpose of the festival is to provide Kuban residents of all ages with the access to the best Russian and foreign films.
The festival has a diverse program, which includes the following projects: "The new Russian cinema", "Our children's movie", "Young to Youth", "Unforgettable names".
Traditional musical evenings are also held at the Sergius of Radonezh Temple square, where the soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre, the Moscow Male Choir of Sretensky Monastery, the best Russian folk performers impress other guests and residents of the Film Fest greatly. One of the highlights of the festival is the ‘Day of Cossack Villages’, when one of the villages in the district holds a meeting with guests of the festival, organizes craft exhibitions, competitions for the best Cossack cuisine, and joint concerts of artists and amateur groups.
Every year more than 45,000 area residents take part in the festival.
Over the years, the guests of the Festival included: the writer Arkady Inin, deputy chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia Sergey Lazarouk, People's Artists of Russia Vladlen Davydov, Vladimir Zeldin, Irina Skobtseva-Bondarchuk, Nikita Mikhalkov, Alexei Petrenko, Vladimir Hotinenko, Lev Durov, Alexander Pankratov-Cherny, Lyudmila Khityayeva, Rimma Markova, Zinaida Kiriyenko, Alexander Mikhailov, Lyudmila Zaitseva, Eugene Menchov, Larissa Luzhina, Irina Muravyova, Edita Pyekha; Honored Artists of Russia Olga Kabo, Elena Korikova, Lyubov Polekhina, Catherine Porubel, Anton Makarskij, Ilona Bronevitskaya and many others.
Kubans were the first to see the new Russian movies: "The White Tiger" by Karen Shakhnazarov, "My favorite dunce" by Alexander Kott, "Pete on the Way to Heaven" by Vladimir Dostal. Sergei Govorukhin presented his film "Nobody but us" while Vladimir Hotinenko presented the new "Pop".
Festival events (film screenings, readings, concerts) were held in the villages of Ladozhskaya, Voronezhskaya, Novolabinskaya, Zhelezniy, Octyabrskiy, and in the Yuzhniy settlement, the home of the "Factor A" project winner, Sergey Savin.
